You’ll want to act quickly as this probably isn’t going to last. While it’s true that the Motorola Moto X doesn’t have top-end specs, it is a flagship phone and it’s one that you can pick up for just a penny.
Yes, it’s also true that you can pick up the Moto X through Republic Wireless for $299 outright and take advantage of their really cheap plans, but the one for a penny is with the bigger Verizon Wireless network. You will need to sign up for a qualifying two-year contract to take advantage of the penny pricing and you won’t be able to utilize the Moto Maker customizations.
Instead, when you hop on over to the Amazon page, you’ll find that you can get the black Moto X or the white Moto X for $0.01 on a two-year contract. Contrast that to the $100 you’d spend if you ordered your Verizon-friendly Moto X via the Moto Maker website.
As a quick refresher, the Moto X gets a 4.7-inch 720p display, dual-core 1.7GHz Krait processor, 2GB of RAM and a 10MP camera capable of 1080p video.
